It's bill-paying day (ugh-- why do I still have to pay my Washington Post bill by mail, and even find and address an envelope for it?) and as I was looking around for some stamps with the right postage, I found a bunch of those cryptic stamps that say "H" or "G" or "1991 Christmas" and tell you nothing about what the value of the stamp is, so you really don't know what to put with your old 37¢ stamp to get the right postage. So I looked online and found "Quick Service Guide 604a" which tells, wonder of wonders, the value of nondenominated postage. I think this blog entry is mostly for my own future reference.

Oh yes, the awesomness of the forever-stamps. They do them up whenever the rate changes because they have to order the stamps before they are certain of the eventual rate, so they let you use those on any first class 1 oz envelope, even if the rate goes up in the future.
