Celebrate the advent of fall with the arrival of seasonal aromatic drinks, popping up on café menus everywhere. Dawson’s Market, a community-oriented local food hub, is no exception, having recently unveiled their “Autumn Crisp” juice. Featuring a blend of delectable fall favorites, this revitalizing juice comes complete with mixed fruits like apple, orange and pear. Carrots are the main staple, lending a bold, distinct coloring to the juice, along with plenty of health benefits from the bright carotenoids. Meanwhile, a touch of ginger adds a subtle hint of spice, creating an altogether delicious flavor. Although this might seem like a travesty, it looks like I’m going to skip out on the ubiquitous pumpkin spice latte this fall.
Dawson’s also offers tons of family-friendly, community oriented events each month. Stop by the weekly farmer's market, held every Wednesday from 11 to 2pm. Enjoy food demos, samples and browse through a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. Wine and Beer vendors make a weekly appearance, along with delicious offerings from the BBQ pit. Check it out while you can, the last market meets on October 30th. Music aficionados of all ages will enjoy the monthly Jazz Brunch, held on the last Saturday of every month. Enjoy listening to live performances from local groups, and unwind with an all you can eat brunch buffet.
Savour the season with refreshing new menu additions and fun-filled festivals all throughout fall.
