Do you have someone to nominate as a Dawson’s Market Ambassador?

Each month Dawson’s Market is recognizing individuals in our community who are changing it for the better through their actions. Whether it is someone who is fighting illness with food, addressing sustainability through renewable energy or leading change by bringing local produce to food deserts. Simply put, the Dawson’s Market Ambassador is a do-gooder, effecting positive change in our community.

On the first Monday of each month an Ambassador will be chosen from a pool of community votes. The Ambassadors are chosen based on a variety of positive determining factors. The chosen Ambassador will be notified he or she will remain Ambassador through the last Friday of the month.

Our Ambassadors get acknowledgement on our website, a poster in-store, a Facebook post annoucing their new title, free Dawson’s Market community classes for that entire month and…10% OFF ALL OF THEIR SHOPPING for “their” month as well.

Our first recipient, Kathy Dayton is a woman who is not only a college professor and department chair at Montgomery College but she is also a captain and paramedic at the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department.  Someone who really donates her time to the community, to make it better, to make it safer.

It’s our way of giving back to folks that are giving a lot to all of us!

Here's how to nominate someone:

Send an email to info@dawsonsmarket.com

Include within that email your nominee’s name, phone number and email address (do the best with whatever contact information you can find).

Write a paragraph or two as to why they deserve your nomination.

Write “Dawson Market’s Ambassador Nominee” in the subject line of the email.

Click “Send”.
