Are you interested in LEGO Robotics or have children aged 9-13 who are?
The 2014-2015 season of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League program has just gotten underway and Rockville Science Center is coordinating teams in Montgomery County. Teams consist of 3 to 10 kids who meet weekly with a coach to design their own solution to a scientific question or problem and build autonomous Lego robots that perform a series of missions, and can compete in the January tournament.
FLL seeks “to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.”
