We had fun working at one of the Taste of Rockville ticket booths at Hometown Holidays this past weekend. The festival was a great success, with sunny weather, 20 vendors providing a wide and delicious sampling of Rockville's best food of all varieties, and a big crowd out enjoying the kids games, music and food. Here are some of the pictures we took along the Taste of Rockville streets.

Diana Lueben (center), of TD Bank, did a great job of organizing all the Rockville Chamber of Commerce volunteers, including Cathy Weber of Montgomery Magazine (left), to run the 3 ticket booths.

Here we are, selling crazy amounts of tickets, the proceeds of which benefit Community Ministries of Rockville

Our booth was just down from Happy Popping, which kept us all longing for a popcorn break

And right next door was this beautiful thing: an outdoor pizza oven producing Oro Pomodoro's delicious wood-fired pizza di Napoli

Andrea Jolly (2nd from left), Executive Director of Rockville Chamber of Commerce, ran the booth at the other end of Maryland Ave

The ever enthusiastic Michael Bobbitt of Adventure Theatre MTC

Pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches from Rocklands BBQ were among the most popular offerings

Three of the five Team Rockville candidates for Rockville City Council in November were out enjoying the food and company

Rockville Councilmember Mark Pierzchala was also on hand, no doubt discussing bicycling or solar power or some other topic of environmental interest with Herb Winkler

Lots of families came out to enjoy games and food

Recently opened Chef Geoff's served up some fabulous mango lemongrass lemonade and ahi appetizers

While chefs from Dawsons Market provided some wonderful vegan and organic fare

With over 30 bands performing throughout the Hometown Holidays weekend, there was never a dull moment
