Keeping Rockville Bikeable

We're glad to see that Grandin Ave, which is part of Rockville's bike route and the best way to travel between the Carl Henn Millenium Trail that circles Rockville and Rock Creek Park, has not only been recently repaved, but also clearly marked right in the road as a bike route.
On the subject of making roads more bike-friendly (and how this is good not only for cyclists but for business), the article in the link below talks about how bicycling has taken off all over the US this year, and how many cities are adding green lanes to their transportation infrastructure. According to the article, "2012 was a landmark year for green [bike] lanes, with the total number of lanes nearly doubling across the United States... green lanes are a practical, common sense and cost-effective way for cities to help people get around, especially for short trips... green lanes are proving to be good for business."
