Revised Rockville Pike Plan is Up For Review

The Planning Commission has finished their review and revisions to the Rockville Pike Plan, initially drafted in 2010, and the document is now available for public viewing and commenting. Here are some upcoming events to find out more and/or comment on the Plan:

Open House at City Hall, Tuesday Sept 16
The Mayor and Council will host an open house to discuss the Planning Commission's draft Rockville Pike Plan with the public on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayor and Council Chambers. The evening will include a brief meet-and-greet in the 3rd floor lobby, followed by a presentation of draft plan highlights and a question and answer session with staff.

1st Public Hearing, Monday Sept 29
The Mayor and Council will hold public hearings on the Planning Commission's draft Rockville Pike Plan at their regularly scheduled meetings on September 29, October 27, November 17 and December 8, 2014 in the Mayor and Council Chambers. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and may be viewed live on Comcast, Verizon and RCN channel 11 or streamed online anytime. Additional public hearing dates may be added.

Presentation by Twinbrook Civic Association, Tuesday Sept 30
An overview of the latest revision of the Rockville Pike Plan will be given, with a chance for discussion. At Twinbrook Community Center, Sept 30 at 7pm.

2nd Public Hearing, Monday Oct 27

3rd Public Hearing, Monday Nov 17
See above - at City Hall during the Mayor and Council meeting.

4th Public Hearing, Monday Dec 8
